Temple of the Condor The wings are the large rocks above, and the head is the small carved stone in the foreground. The head was supposedly used to sacrifice animals, with a place for the blood to drain down into the beak of the condor. The condor was then supposed to carry the offering up to the heavens to appease the sun god.
